‘horness’ by german designer jonathan ranzinger is a speaker system created with 3 horns that each evoke a detailed expansion of frequencies. it is produced using a metal spinning technique. this production method is a chipless transforming process for the fabrication of rotational-symmetric hollow bodies created out of sheet
metal. the process of giving metal a new shape and the assembly of complicated prefabricated parts demands a lot of experience. ‘horness’ attempts to give this artisanry some public cognition.
